THE ORIGAMI BW ARMY
This season, O. FILES opens a previously unexplored file from the archive: a first encounter with Adidas Originals and an ode to the classic BW Army, reinterpreted as the Origami BW Army.
Rooted in archetypes of wear, utility, and situational design, the project considers the objects that carry us through everyday life. Each trainer features a single continuous piece of leather, individually treated and carefully pleated to form the O. FILES signature origami detail. Three pleats emerge at the front, drawing a deliberate parallel to the tripartite visual language central to Adidas’ identity. The architecture changes, but the silhouette stays the same; an archival study in layered construction, bringing utilitarian heritage into dialogue with sculptural craftsmanship.
The installation presents the collaborative piece alongside its references and the ideas that shaped it. The trainer appeared throughout the O. FILES presentation at CPHFW, worn across every look. At the installation, guests will have the opportunity to win a pair.
